Strengthening: Feet and Lower Legs

Strengthening for this area is needed in cases where the ankle “rolls” a lot, typically to the lateral side in Inversion Sprains.

The feet resting evenly on the ground with the ankles straight is important for the balance of all the joints above.

A torn or weak Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL) in the ankle joint can be rebalanced in function by strengthening the lateral side of the ankle.
